Our volunteers are a vital part of the team. As such, all volunteers are trained and supported by the management team to ensure they all feel part of the success story we share. In addition, for most roles we can cover childcare costs and travel expenses. In return, we ask for the same level of commitment and professionalism provided by our paid staff.

Could you help others to find their way through the money maze?
Do you offer the listening and communication skills needed to support people who struggle with money management and debt?
Would you be able to commit to two days per week in return for up to three months training in welfare benefits, debt management and money advice?
If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help transfer the paper files to an electronic filing system. This would involve scanning and saving confidential paperwork – full training will be provided but basic IT knowledge is required.

Although our services have changed during the pandemic, we're still very grateful for volunteer support during lockdown.
Volunteering at The Chapman Centre may involve helping to produce hot food or food parcels. Alternatively, it may involve helping with social activities, such as craft work or running workshops to alieviate lonliness and increase mindfullness.
Our team of Assertive Street Outreach Workers are also looking for volunteers to support them in their work in the community.
