Triage Worker

Full time 37.5 hours a week

Salary £24,977 plus 7% pension contribution

Fixed term until 31 March 2025; based in Central Ipswich

We are looking to recruit a Triage Worker who will be responsible for providing initial assessments and support to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness and connecting them with appropriate internal and external support. It is a fixed term role while we await confirmation of funding.

You will have experience of working with people with complex needs, particularly individuals experiencing homelessness, and be comfortable working with a wide range of professionals.  You should also be able to conduct assessments and develop support plans.

Support Co-ordinator, Outreach

Full time 37 hours a week (including early mornings)

Salary £24,644 plus 7% pension contribution

Fixed Term until 31 March 2025; based in central Ipswich

We are looking for an Outreach worker who is prepared to start early on foot to locate and engage with people sleeping rough within the Ipswich boundary and offer initial support to encourage them into services and to move off the streets into appropriate accommodation.

You will have experience of working with people who are homeless or rough sleepers or those who have complex needs such as alcohol or substance use, mental health issues, a history of trauma and/or offending/antisocial behaviour.  Ideally you will be familiar with working with statutory and voluntary agencies and be able to find creative ways to engage with people.

You must also be able to assess and manage risk and work independently (the role will involve lone working), using your own initiative, and work as part of a team.

This is role is part of the Rough Sleeper Project, funded by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Trustees

The Trustees are Directors of the company and form the voluntary management committee.  The Board meets approximately every two months to review the strategic, financial and operational position of ihAg, and agree future priorities.

All volunteers are trained and supported by the management team to ensure they all feel part of the success story we share.  In addition, for most roles we can cover childcare costs and travel expenses.  In return, we ask for the same level of commitment and professionalism provided by our paid staff.
