What does your job involve?
It's my job to ensure ihAg has the right resources, to offer the most effective services we can, to support the people who come to us for help and advice.
How long have you worked for ihAg?
I joined ihAg in November 2019.
Why do you enjoy working for ihAg?
ihAg has attracted a group of people who are completely committed to providing the very best support they can to people whose lives have become challenging. This commitment and determination is infectious, and has created a working environment where anything is considered possible. It’s really uplifting to be part of a this team.
What was your proudest moment?
Everything we offer supports people to make the changes they want, at their pace, to make themselves safer and more independent. Witnessing the impact this has on peoples’ lives, and the staff who have supported them is truly humbling. I’m so proud to be part of an organisation witnessing positive change every single day.

Housing Services Manager
What does your job involve?
I manage all of ihAg’s housing services, including our supported accommodation, Housing First project, property maintenance and Health and Safety.
How long have you worked for ihAg?
Since 2011.
Why do you enjoy working for ihAg?
I like the fact the organisation is very focused on the individual, not only with the people we work with but also the staff team.
What was your proudest moment?
We work with people who are homeless, our team focus on the individual and how we can work alongside them. I'm very proud every time we get feedback from the people we are working with to say what a great help and support a member of staff or the team has been. It’s confirmation we as a team are working in a way which supports people who, with some guidance, can make changes to allow them to live the lives they want and who will be able to maintain their own accommodation.

Money Advice Service Manager
What does your job involve?
My role is to ensure the smooth running of the Money Advice Service. This includes managing the team, maintaining relationships with our partner agencies, sourcing funding to keep the service running and helping the advisers support the people who use our expertise.
How long have you worked for ihAg?
Since August 2002.
Why do you enjoy working for ihAg?
I work alongside a hard-working, dedicated and loyal team, who all care about the work ihAg does and the individuals it helps.
What was your proudest moment?
On 23rd June myself, six members of staff and our local MP took part in the Orwell Walk, a 25-mile walk around Ipswich, raising money and awareness of ihAg. We all successfully completed the challenge and raised over £700 in donations.

Volunteer Recruitment
Do you want to make a difference to people whose lives have fallen apart and who don’t know where else to turn? Why not help a homelessness charity by becoming a Volunteer?
Homelessness is still an issue and, with changes to the benefit system and cuts in public spending, we find our services are needed just as much as when we first started working in Ipswich in the 1970s. Volunteering for ihAg is a rewarding vocation and your help would be greatly appreciated in the following areas:
