Privacy Notice - Service Users

ihAg will process your information so that we can provide you with the services you need.

We collect information from you, from third parties such as agencies that provided services to you or referred you to us, from credit reference agencies and from partner agencies such as Social Services.

We use this information to provide you with advice and assistance and/or housing related support and accommodation.  We also use it to, signpost you to other relevant services, report to those who fund our work and keep our records.

This information may include your personal contact details (name, address, phone, etc), information about your family, finances and housing circumstances, some health information and information about criminal convictions.

We comply with Data Protection legislation and can process your data because you have given your informed consent, or it is to fulfil a contract we have with you, or to comply with our legal obligations or occasionally to protect someone’s life.

We normally keep data for 6 years after the end of the last financial year when we had contact with you.

We will request your consent to share your information with third parties such as housing providers or grant agencies, or organisations to who you may owe money, or credit reference agencies, or to refer you to other agencies for help.  In some cases, we do not need your consent, such as in relation to safeguarding concerns or if we are legally obliged to share information.

You have rights under the Data Protection Act which mean you can ask us to 

  • give you access to your personal infomration held by us
  • correct your information

Also in certain circumstances you can 

  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to stop processing your information
  • object to us processing your information.
