ihAg is an independent, registered Charity that works mainly in Ipswich, providing advice and support to individuals seeking help. ihAg has a strong commitment to reducing homelessness in the community; staff and volunteers work across three services (the Chapman Centre, Housing and Money Advice), helping to achieve this aim.
ihAg’s Money Advice Service are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, and methodical person to provide debt and money advice to people seeking support, including offenders in custody primarily in two prisons in East Anglia. Full training and support will be provided.
You will need your own transport to travel between ihAg HQ in central Ipswich and the prisons in south Norfolk and Suffolk.
You will meet with service users at each location and gather detailed and accurate information regarding their debts and financial situation. Working closely with ihAg‘s Money Advisers based at our central Ipswich office, you will need to be able to work under your own initiative as well as be part of a wider team within an accredited Money Advice Service.
Please note, the hours are likely to mean two long working days (9.5 hours – including a 30 minute lunch) and travelling to and from the prisons, and either one long 8.5 hour day (including lunch) or two shorter 4 hour days at HQ.
Please provide an up to date CV and a one-page Expression of Interest to email@example.com.
Closing date is 22nd July by 12 noon.
