IHAG’s Resettlement Support Team encourages tenants to move on, but only when they can cope with self-contained permanent accommodation. Whilst we can never guarantee to provide our tenants with permanent move-on to Council or Housing Association accommodation, it is still our aim. Since 1992 IHAG has resettled over 300 people in the community - over 80% of all those resettled in the last 5 years are still there. With our wealth of experience and our on-going commitment to Resettlement work, we believe that our service is second to none.
Resettlement Support is for clients moving on from IHAG into independent accommodation. When they take up their tenancy, support will continue until the tenant has settled in and is able to cope.
Although there is no set limit to the time tenants can spend with IHAG, opportunities for moving on should become available after about 9 months providing the tenant is ready to do so with a chance of success e.g. up to date with their rent, able to look after themselves and demonstrating they can get on with their neighbours etc.
